Sabarmati Ashram:

Sabarmati Ashram is situated in the Sabarmati suburb of Gujarat. This was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi. He lived here for approximately 12 years. You can see his living quarters and personal daily usable things like spectacles and spinning wheel etc. The ashram preserves all the memories of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalay. People also called it Gandhi Ashram.
Bhadra Fort:
Location: 1.3 km away from Ahmedabad city center

Bhadra Fort was built in 1411 by Ahmad Shah. It's perhaps not too much away from the town. There is a famous temple located in the premises of the fort which is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. It is a very beautiful monument mainly famous for the lovely pattern works. You can explore the history of the fort on the arches crafted at the entry gate of the fort.
Akshardham
Location: Around 29 kms away from Ahmedabad city in Gandhinagar District

Akshardham temple is a grand monument of Gujarat. This is a very large and beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to Swaminarayan. The astonishing architectural structure is made from pink stone. Magical atmosphere of this place makes you calm and blissful.
Jama Masjid:
Location: In old city at Manaek Chowk of Ahmedabad

Jama Masjid is among the most popular tourist places in Ahmedabad. It is made of orange sandstone and stands on 260 pillars, which help and support 15 domes at various elevations. The whole design of Jama Masjid was planned by the Mughal Emperor Sultan Ahmed Shah.
Kankariya Lake
Location: 5 km away from Ahmedabad

The Kankariya Lake is the biggest lake in Ahmedabad. The lake was built by Sultan Qutbuddin in the fifteenth century. People also know it by name of 'QutbHauz' or 'Hauz-e-Qutb'. It is extremely beautiful and breath taking and one of the most visited places of Ahmedabad.
