Golden temple is the holiest place of Sikhs, also known as Sri Darbar Sahib and Harmindar sahib. Tourist from all religions and nations visit this Sikh Gurudwara. The primary attractions of this holy place are the sarovar, gold and marble cut curves at the top and entryways. Around 400 kg gold is used in this two storied religious structure. The temple has an inbuilt sarovar or the holy pond within its premises. Enthusiasts can take a dip in the holy water of the sarovar for refining their spirit. Inside the temple, the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs is placed for worship. This is so peaceful and beautiful place. If you want to see the real beauty of Golden temple, then visits it at night time. It is sparkling with lights at night which enhances its serenity.

Jallianwala Bagh is a historical garden spot of Amritsar. This place was constructed in 1951;this place was built in the memory of one of the saddest event of freedom fighting. It is also called by the name of Amritsar massacre. Tourists come here to give tribute to those thousands of people who were slaughtered in this accident. You can see the marks of 1600 bullets which were fired by the British troops on innocent people gathered in this place.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum
Location: Lawrence road, Amritsar

Initially this was the summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who was first king of Sikh empire. After that it was turned into a museum. The palace is enclosed by popular Ram Bagh garden. You can see manuscripts, arms, armors, old coins, beautiful paintings and other belongings of the King. This museum represents the rich history of Sikh kingdom.
