Kotor Cathedral, also called the ‘Cathedral of Saint Tryphon’ is located in the heart of the old town. This 12th century old beautiful Cathedral is truly a proud possession of Kotor. A tremendous amount of work has been done in the restoration of this old church after it was almost destroyed due to several earthquakes. In 1667, when the entire frontage of the Cathedral was destroyed, the Baroque Bell Towers were added to the Cathedral. Although the left ones are still unfinished, but the Cathedral has now been well preserved. The interior of the Cathedral is a master piece of Romanesque architecture. It hosts a small and unique museum on the upper floors of the church, which shows various treasures and other religious possessions. It has the private possessions of Saint Tryphon in the silver casket, which is considered as Kotor’s most valuable treasure
Our Lady of the Rocks
Location: It is located in the inner part of Boka Kotorska Bay, near Perast, Kotor

How to reach: You will have to take a boat from Perast and you will reach there in almost half an hour.
Gospa od Skrpjela is the name of one of the two small but stunning islands, and the other one is St. George island. This island is unique in its own way, as it is an artificial island which was made by a bulwark of rocks and by sinking ships which were full of rocks.
The island is famous for its Cathedral. Our Lady of the Rocks, which is dedicated to Virgin Mary and it also hosts a museum. Opened in the year 1900, this small museum is dedicated to the naval history of Montenegro. It showcases rare old naval weapons, fascinating ships of the world war and exquisite paintings of sailors and high ranked sailors who have served their country. The museum was severely damaged in the earthquake in 1979. The works to preserve and conserve the museum took five long years to finish. After this, in 1984, the museum was able to continue its previous activities.
