Best Time to Visit: To enjoy the sun and the sea, visit in July-September, for the city or excursions visit during Mid-April to June. During Mid-October to mid-April, there may be rains and thunderstorms.

Pico Castelo Viewpoint
Location: Porto Santo Island, Portugal
Visiting Time: Open all 7days of a week during daytime
It is located in Porto Santo.The viewpoint is located 430 meters above sea level, where there are still ruins of a 16th century fortress. It is one of the vantage points to admire the natural beauty of the surroundings, where you can see some islets that surround the island, like Cal and Cima and the city of Vila Baleira in the background.
Pico de Ana Ferreira
Location: Porto Santo Island, Portugal
Visiting Time: Open all 7days of a week during day time
At 283 above sea level, lies Pico de Ana Ferreira, which is the highest point on the west of the island.It is a relief produced by differential erosion due to the hardness of the mugearite rock that constitutes its core. It was formed from volcano activity taking millions years of intermediate composition in a magma chamber underlying the peak. An interesting work of art by Mother Nature herself, you must visit to also enjoy the beautiful landscape of the surroundings.

The museum is the result of a personal passion of Jose Cardina. Fascinated by the artefacts of Porto Santo’s past, Cardina not only collected these pieces such as metal works, baskets, furniture items and farm tools but also made beautiful replicas of the same. He also designed mock-ups of many natural water fountains on the island-preserving the complete figure of those neglected and dropped into degradation.
Church of NossaSenhora da Peiedade
Location: TravessaSacrestia 3, Vila De Porto Santo, Ilha De Porto Santo, Portugal
Visiting Time: Open all 7days of a week from 10:00am-08:00pm; closed during public holidays
You cannot miss this church which stands next to the town square. Built during the period between 1430 and 1446, it was rebuilt in 1667 after being burnt down by pirates. The only remnant of the original church is the small Gothic chapel located on the south of the building. Today the church has beautifully decorated altars and several breathtaking paintings by famed artists Max Romer and Martim Conrado.
